Robert Fredrick "Rob" Paulsen III (born March 11, 1956 in Michigan, U.S.A.) is an American voice actor and singer. His best known roles include Carl in Jimmy Neutron: Boy Genius, Raphael in the original Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Yakko Warner in Animaniacs, Pinky in Pinky and The Brain and Bobble in the Tinkerbell movies.
He has voiced over 250 animated characters and performed in 1000 commercials. He won a Daytime Emmy Award for male vocal performance for his performance as Pinky in "Pinky and the Brain" in 1999. Paulsen was nominated for an Annie Award for the same role of Pinky for 4 consecutive years and he won three of them.
He began his voice over career in 1983 with the mini-series G.I. Joe: A Real American Hero. He then went on to do voice work on The Smurfs, Fraggle Rock, The New Adventures of Johnny Quest and Saber Rider. He then began doing voice work for commercials including those for Honda, Buffalo Dick's Radio Ranch, Taco Bell kids meal, and the immensely popular Got Milk? campaign. He even was an announcer for the sitcom Cheers as well as providing his voice for video games such as Doom 3 and Clay Fighter 63 1/3.
- His original claim to fame as a voice actor was playing Raphael in the original late 80s animated series adaptation of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (1987). In 2012 he was cast as Donatello in the Nickleodian reboot adaptation.
- Because he voices Jim Carrey's character of Stanley Ipkiss in the cartoon spin-off series "The Mask" (1995), whenever a Jim Carrey movie is aired on television and needs to be edited for language content, Rob Paulsen is called upon to re-dub whenever Carrey is not available.
